ABOUT MARLA

Marla brings a rich and varied background, as well as a unique perspective to Chicagoland Home Mortgage. Born in New Jersey, Marla earned a BA in Economics from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA, an MS in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, and a two-year certificate in Ceramics from Worcester Craft Center in Worcester, MA. She has spent time doing software engineering, customer support, and pottery.

Marla has developed extensive customer service and program management skills. She possesses the analytical abilities of an engineer, the creativity of an artist, and a genuine and deep regard for others. Marla enjoys being a loan officer because it allows her to exercise all of these facets of herself and also enables her to have a positive impact on people's lives.

Marla believes that buying a home should be a joyous occasion, and that financing a home is an important event, not just another transaction. Each individual is unique and each situation is different. She is committed to finding the best product for each borrower, and for making the lending process easy and understandable. She listens and is available. People count on Marla to get the job done right, and to get it done honestly.

Along with helping people with their home financing, Marla continues to work as a functional and sculptural potter in Elmhurst, IL, where she lives with her two orange cats, Gus and Krusty. In addition to art, Marla is interested in metaphysics and travel to foreign lands.
